Over The Weekend at Pontian For Birthday Celebrations !

Last Friday, I travelled back to Pontian with the mission of 'secretly' celebrating Pe-Pe's Birthday on Friday and also 'openly' celebrating Grandma's Birthday on Saturday.

This year was Pe-Pe's 60th Birthday. His beloved 3 sons together with his wife, decided to hold a birthday party for him 'SECRETLY'. So all preparations were done without the knowing of Pe-Pe, from ordering the birthday cake, deciding on the food menu and venue, and to invite Pe-Pe BEST Friends from all over the country. Pe-Pe really looked surprised on that night. He never expected such a celebrations and of course, the full attendance of all his closest friends from everywhere...

~ He was moved to TEARS ~~ He was soOoo Touched on that night!! ~

So happy to see such a great occasion ~ His best friends, beloved wife, dearest sons and closest siblings all were there for him on that night... And us, his nephews and nieces, were at the side, cheering up for them, when they were on the stage singing and performing :)

On Saturday night, we drove to Johor Bahru to have the birthday celebrations for our dearest Ah Ma. This year, we changed the dinner's venue to the Lotus Garden Chinese Restaurant located at The ZON Johor Bahru, instead of having it at Pontian like the past years. Food was considered quite ok and we had another nice gathering again! Haha... eat, chat and drink the whole night ~~ Grandma really enjoyed the night with us too :)

~ We sincerely wish Grandma and Pe-Pe 'A Very Happy Birthday!! May the birthday wishes made will come true very soon and both of you be healthy always... ~

Kimi's New Hair Cut and Toys

Last weekend, we drove back to Taiping to visit Kimi. He is recovering well... So happy to see that. So on Sunday, we brought him for a hair cut after breakfast. Haha, after went to 3 hair salons, finally, he had his hair cut!! Hehe... First salon, Kimi couldn't sit still, head kept on turned here and there looking around, so didn't finish to cut. Then 2nd salon, need to queue for very long, so ended up, we left. Finally went to the 3rd one to get it done. Luckily, the barber was quick enough, Kimi's hair finally cut in 10 minutes' time. It only costs RM4 ! I think this price is much more cheaper compare to KL ~

~ Kimi's New Hair Cut! Mummy and Daddy very like it. Looks so cute! ~

~ Kimi's New Toys ~ This set of toys belongs to his Daddy 23 years ago (Year 1987). Hehe :) MIL keeps it nicely until now. She took it out and cleaned it thoroughly before passed to Kimi to play with it. So, now this set of toys belongs to Kimi ~ Hope he will like it :)

Last time his Daddy drew the box's cover until so messy when he was in his nursery. Haha :)

We brought Kimi out for dinner on the Sunday evening before driving back to KL ~ He was busy looking around in the restaurant. Now, he does not like to sit still in his stroller, always want people to carry him around to see things ^_^ Nowadays, we eat one meal also very busy because Kimi needs more attention now and wants people to carry him most of the time ~~

Poor Kimi with Bronchitis

Date: 14th May 2010

Last Friday I was on half day leave as my parents and sister were here in KL for one day trip. Around 4pm, I received a call from hubby asking me, if I could go back to Taiping with him or not on that night itself? He added, if my cough and flu got better or not? I ask him why. He told me, Kimi's coughing did not seem to be better so my PIL brought him to see the doctor again. After a check-up at the hospital, the paediatrician said that Kimi was having 'Bronchitis'. He needs to be at the hospital twice a day for 3 days continuously under the 'Nebulizer' therapy.

Oh my god! When I heard that, I was very worried. I didn’t know much about ‘Bronchitis’ neither nor I know what is ‘Nebulizer’ all about. Was it a serious thing or just some medical terms that doctor used? My parents who were next to me at that time, kept on asked me not to worry. Kimi will be fine.

Kimi had been having expectorating cough and because of the cough made him once a while having shortness of breath. He had not been sleeping well since last Saturday. When we came back to KL on Sunday, every day had been calling back home to ask about Kimi's conditions. PIL had been telling us, Kimi was alright, just that having some minor flu and cough only, is in the midst of recovering. But last Friday, while MIL was feeding Kimi, she sensed that something was not right. Kimi did not seem to be able to take in the milk or porridge. So immediately PIL sent him to the hospital for consultation.

So after sending my parents off, I quickly packed some clothes and waited for hubby to come back from work. While waiting for hubby, I goggled and read more about Bronchitis and Nebulizer. A nebulizer is a medical device that converts liquid medication into a fine mist, which is inhaled into the lungs. It is often used for medications prescribed to treat asthma, bronchitis or other respiratory ailments.

When hubby reached home, he realized that my flu and cough did not seem to be better, so he asked me to go and see the doctor again to take some medicine, in order to make myself healthier to be able to take care of Kimi later. After I took some sleep and medication, we drove back to Taiping. (My cough and flu should be got it from Kimi last weekend while taking care of him.)

When we reached, MIL told us, after 2 times of Nebulizer, Kimi seemed to be able to sleep better and can drink some milk. My heart feels a bit more relieved upon hearing that. But by looking at Kimi, he seems to lose some weight compare to last week. Haih, my poor baby Kimi!

Daddy was holding Kimi for the Nebulizer therapy most of the time. Mummy only managed to hold Kimi for one time only. Most of the time, Mummy can only be at the side cheering up because I was having some minor coughs, better don’t be too near to Kimi. At first he was still playing with the nurse while doing the Nebulizer, but after a few minutes, he started to cry out loud. Poor Baby Kimi! Once a while, when he was crying too seriously, the nurse stopped for a while to let Kimi settle down first. Then we continued again. Really very pitiful ~~ Lots-lots of tears rolling down from his eyes....

But luckily, after the 3 days treatments, Kimi seems to be back with his normal naughty look again. He can play and sleep well. He can drink his milk, but once a while cannot finish all. He can consume some porridge too. Yesterday he went to his follow-up check-up, the paediatrician said Kimi lungs were clearer so no need to go for the Nebulizer anymore. Only need to be under medication for another week. If everything is fine on next week, he needs to be back for his Pneumococcal jab which was due earlier. However, the weighing machine shows that Kimi is 200gms thinner. Hope Kimi can faster recover fully and gain back his weight! Can’t wait to see you again this coming weekend ~

Kimi's porridge ~ Cooked with potatoes, carrots and some lean meat ~ After that, blended it to make it easier for Kimi to eat...

On Monday, Kimi looks better and recovering well. So, we brought Kimi to Taiping Lake for a short walk on Monday evening before travelled back to KL ~

Happy Mother's Day Celebrations

On this year Mother's Day we have one extra member to join us. He is none other than our dearest Kimi boy. And this year, I am promoted to be Mummy and is able to celebrate this day together with Kimi at Taiping. We drove back to Taiping on Friday night. On Saturday evening, we had our Mother's Day celebrations at outside together with hubby's uncle one family too at a local restaurant near hubby's house.

We took a few of the photos before our dinner started ~

On Sunday afternoon, MIL cooked for us a very delicious lunch before we headed back to KL. We bought a small heart-shape strawberry cake for her, but the cake's icing melted a bit before we managed to cut and ate it ~ Perhaps we took it out from the fridge for some time before cut it. But luckily it still tasted nice ^_^

Sumptuous lunch prepared by MIL. She cooked her Signature Dish ~ Yong Tau Hu ~ and coupled with 'Baked Brinjal' and 'Tau You Bak' (in hokkien). Side dish was the 'Acar-acar'.

Thank you, MIL, for taking so good care of Kimi for us! Thank you for everything ~

However, Kimi was a bit unwell on Saturday and Sunday, so we did not take much photos of him. We were busy settling him and put him to sleep as he looked tired due to his coughing. Doctor prescribed the medicine for him, but it hurt a lot when Kimi cried so loudly when we were feeding him with the medicine. He seemed to know that the medicine was not nice to eat. He refused to consume it. Really hope that he won't fall sick again. Poor baby... Luckily he had his favourite Barney show after we fed him the medicine. The show can really make him cool down a bit and stop crying for a while... My only wish for Mother's Day this year is for Kimi to grow up as a healthy and cheerful boy!

On Wesak Day, I will be travelling back to Johor to celebrate Mother's Day with my Mummy. It is my Ah Ma's birthday as well. So most of our uncles, aunties and cousins will be travelling back for this day. Really looking forward to the Big Gathering again :)

TO my Mummy, my MIL and Myself:
~ Happy Mother's Day !! May all of us be healthy always ~

Kimi is 8 Months' Old today!

Date: 6th May 2010

Today marks Kimi 8 months' old ~

At his age of 8 months, he can clap his whenever he is watching his Barney, or whenever he is happy or even sometimes we ask him to clap. He seems to understand, but I am not sure if he really understands. Hehe :)

~ Kimi is clapping his hands while watching his favourite Barney shows ~

Kimi once a while can mumble out a few unknown words from his mouth. According to Hubby, he is calling him 'Pa Pa'. But most of the time, from Kimi's mouth, what we hear are, 'Ba Ba Ba Ba', etc... Well, although once a while I get to hear the 'Pa Pa' words quite clearly, but I always tell hubby, 'No la... he is just mumbling himself.' Haha... and Hubby will all the time reply to me and say, 'Well, don't be jealous of it. Kimi starts calling his Dad first'.

Kimi likes to sing by himself. Whenever he is rolling on his bed, or we are strolling him around, he will sing his own theme song. We do not understand what he is singing, well, his baby languages we suppose :) Kimi will stretch out both his hands whenever he wants people to carry him or whenever we show signs to want to carry him.

He seems to be can understand us now. Whenever we open the house door, he will kick his legs to show to us that he also wishes to follow us to go out. Hehe ^_^ He is slowly starting to be on some solid foods. We try to feed him some cereal and once a while some fruits and a bit of porridge. He seems to like it and we are trying to provide to him more varieties of baby solid foods if he can manage it well.

Time flies! It has been 8 months ~~ Wish Kimi can always be a happy and healthy boy ^_^

Kimi First Holiday at Genting Highlands

Date: 24th to 26th April 2010
Venue: Genting Highlands

Kimi was in KL for one whole week on last week. So on the weekend when he arrived from Taiping, PIL, hubby and I brought him to Genting for a 3 days 2 nights trip together with hubby's grandmother (Kimi's great-grandmother). Four generations of family gathered together in a trip. I was very looking forward to this trip since the day we planned for it a couple of months ago :)

Once arrived, we let Kimi took a rest first before brought him out to enjoy the cooling weather. Kimi cannot really stand hot weather. He can sweat a lot especially when he is drinking his milk time. So we thought that he might like Genting, as Genting is a cooling place and weather is not so hot as compare to KL. He can sweat lesser there. Haha ~~

From Kimi's expressions throughout the whole trip, he seemed to really enjoy the trip very much. During the night time, he will turn his head around, left and right, up and down, to view all the beautiful lightings in the indoor theme park. He likes to watch beautiful lights a lot. During day time, you can see him kick his legs whenever we bring him out for sight-seeing while enjoying the cool breeze. He claps his hands very frequent whenever he is happy. Hehe... deep inside his heart must be telling us that, 'Dad and mum, I am very happy on this trip. Cool weather and nice scenery! Bring me here more often ya ~' Hehe ^_^

~ Mummy and Kimi photos ~ One of it was taken when Kimi on his Merry-Go-Round ride. He keeps on turn his head around to view the lightings everywhere :)

Hope that we can have more family trips again! Really happy to see Kimi enjoys the trip so much and smiling to us all the time ~~ Hubby and I really happy to see him clapping his hands so frequently throughout the whole trip. He seems to know that he goes on a holiday with his daddy and mummy! Haha :)
