Day 4 - First Day at Kyoto (Part 2)

We chose to stay at the Hotel Sunroute at Kyoto. This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the only downtown in the city. The main highlight of choosing this hotel was because it was only a 20-minute stroll to reach the Kiyomizu-dera from the hotel.

Kiyomizu-dera is one of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. The temple is built into the side of a steep hill. From the temple, you can hike on the sannen-zaka and ninen-zaka trails, then another sloped trail to Yasaka Shrine, giving you a good tour of the old capital of Kyoto. It would definitely be one of the MUST visit tourist spots in Kyoto!

Yeah ^^ We followed the crowd and finally we managed to walk to the top! It was really a very tiring walk but it was all very worth it. The views were indeed stunning!

We managed to catch the Sunset view right before the temple was scheduled to close at 5pm local time on our arrival day. It was indeed a very beautiful experience! Photo credit goes to the Mister who captured this amazing shot. We really loved the views here!

Our Wishing Wooden Board ^^ We wish for a Greater and Happier Year in 2016! Happiness All Around ~

Kyoto Day 1 @ Evening... The temple was still very crowded although it's winter now.

I left one of my sweetest memories in Kyoto. One day, I really wish to pick them back together with Hubby. Indeed, a memorable trip!
