Saturday Night Out at Hakka Restaurant, Jalan Raja Chulan & Christmas Sparkles, Pavilion KL!

28 November - Our lovely Saturday night well-spent with Hubby! The Boys really had a great day out~

Our sudden trip to Pavilion KL on the Saturday evening led us to this delicious dinner. This was our first visit to this Hakka Restaurant at Jalan Raja Chulan. This restaurant is located at a very strategic location in KL and you will never miss to pass-by it if you are heading to Pavilion KL. Their menu is reasonably priced and I believe this might be one of the reasons to be so crowded during dinner time. Our boys enjoyed the Fried Salted Pork dish the most!

Our dinner is priced at RM15 per dish and sides with tea, towel and tidbits. This restaurant comes with 5% service charge and 6% GST. Our total amount for the dinner was RM97.10.

After our dinner, we left our car there and walked our ways to Pavilion KL. Carpark rates at RM4 per entry in the restaurant. Within 5 minutes of walk, we reached the Pavilion. It is well connected to the restaurant. At least we avoided the jam heading into Pavilion KL's carpark. It was still quite jam on the road even after we finished our dinner at almost 8pm! To park our car here at this restaurant really cut down a lot of hassles of finding a car park lot in Pavilion itself. Very convenient!

Christmas Sparkles at Pavilion KL ^^ Very beautiful, very sparkling... The pictures itself worth a thousand words! Our boys managed to queue for the Train Rides at RM5 per person per ride. Indeed a very FUN night out! Lovely Family Day~

Hello Kitty Gourmet Café @ Sunway Pyramid ^^

Date: 28 September 2015

The first of its kind in Malaysia, today marks the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe its 3rd day opening! We reached here by 10am, but the Cafe did not open its doors yet to the patrons although operating hours start at 10am as indicated. It opened their doors to the public around 10.20am, I supposed. Luckily the queue was not long. I think we were the 5th families to get in! In front of me were all families with kids... I believed they were the same group with me, took leave due to closure of schools on today and decided to spend some quality family time with the kids!

Well, I am not a Hello Kitty fan... But on a gloomy Monday morning, with the closure of schools due to haze, I needed to cope with two Boys and wasted one day working leave, so I decided to find some happiness on this day ^^ So, we drove all the way to Sunway Pyramid, just to visit this Café!

But, never did I expect that the Boys enjoyed themselves more than the Mummy! And Kimi asked me before we left the Café, ‘Can we come again with Pa-pa next time?’

Perhaps we were early... After ordering our food, we were told by the waiter that the waiting time for the food to be served was around 30-40 minutes. However, we did not wait for this long. I think our food came after 20-25 minutes, right after I finished walking around to snap some photos in the Café. They have a very cosy environment but the air-con is a bit too cold for the Boys. If I am coming again on next time, I need to bring their cardigans along with me.

Overall, the food tastes averagely. Nothing too special, perhaps just for the Hello Kitty designs. Price is standard Café pricing, quite reasonable although portions seem to be a bit small. Kimi was asking me to order more food for him, as the pasta’s portion was not enough for him alone. Or is it Kimi a big eater at this age of 6? Hehe… Well, they do not have the 6% GST but comes with a 10% service charge.

We have a different dining experience this round at a Themed Cafe! A good one though, at least we did not encounter bad experience although they were some minor hiccups.

Macarons @ RM8.18 each ^^
Kaffir Lime vs Orange Marmalade Macarons!

Chicken and Wild Mushroom Pasta @ RM23.90 ^^

Cappuccino @ RM12.90 ^^
I was supposed to order my favourite Latte however the waiter told me that only Cappuccino had this Kitty decor so I changed my drink to this! Perhaps the drinks were prepared at the Ground Floor and I was seated at the First Floor, so when they served my Cappuccino, the Kitty’s design was a bit out of shape already. Hence, I was a bit disappointed with that. It did not come with a nice Kitty art as I was expecting it… Well, maybe next round should try their Latte then, at least I might have least expectations as it does not come with a Hello Kitty face!

Wonderland Waffles @ RM15.90 ^^

Cheesy Chicken Ham Sandwich @ RM15.00 ^^

For Goodness Cakes @ Desa Sri Hartamas

The Mother’s Day Weekend – While Hubby was away on a trip, Mummy was left with the two Boys all by myself. We had all the time for ourselves over the weekend. I did not plan anything specifically, but I wanted to spend the weekend, hopefully something different for them. We tried out new cafes, we visited new places, and we joined in new competitions. A very fruitful weekend for the three of us!

This particular café which I wanted to try for some time ago, finally, I managed to bring the kids over. This café is run by a group of friends, all mothers. They bake and prepare all the food themselves, from the scratch. Here, you can really taste the smell of home-cooked food. Mmmm.... how to describe it? Perhaps lesser taste of MSG in the food! I am also a Mummy and Healthy Food choices are always my No. 1 priority! And the best thing is, they reassure to me, do not worry about the Boys being too noisy. Just let them play with the toys and I enjoy my Food!

Here, they serve home baked goodies and welcome children. Here, I can eat peacefully without worrying my Boys might disturb the table next to us. Here, I can eat thoroughly while my Boys enjoy their Playtime! Occasionally, one of the owners even step in to babysit my kids. It was very friendly of them. Here, I really feel very comfortable!

After our food, the Boys played for a while more, and they actually felt a bit reluctant to leave the place. Besides the delicious menu with a very reasonable price, this is really a good place for a working mum to hide away from the pressure work at office and to temporary forget the piling up of housework at home.

Here, my Boys smile happily; Mummy relaxes comfortably!
