Melaka Trip ~ Hotel Puri, Jonker Street, etc...

Finally, got some time to sit down in front of my pc writing blog. Life has been busy since last weekend and I until now only got some time to write my Melaka trip stories...

Finished cooking and eating dinner with hubby. Hmmm, where shall I start ler??

Ok, after both parents met up in Pontian, after we visited Pe-pe and Ah Mmm, we proceed to drive to Melaka around 6pm. We reached Melaka about 8pm, drove into the town and reached our hotel almost 9pm. As usual, Melaka is a busy night on Saturday. I booked Hotel Puri, got to know this hotel through online search and this is indeed a very good hotel! Strategic location (which is next street to Jonker Street), comfortable room, clean toilet and the staffs there are very friendly ~ Thumbs up for this hotel!!

After rest for a while in hotel room, we started our Jonker Street discovery. Walk for a while before eating dinner. We had our dinner at Jonker Dessert 88. As usual, business is super good here... Finally we found a table and sat down. We ordered nasi lemak, nyonya laksa, mee soup, chicken wing, and of course, not to forget the Cendol and Ice Kacang... Wow, it is as delicious as ever!!! Hubby's parents and grandma really enjoyed the food. After the delicious dinner, we continue our Jonker Street walk... Saw a lot of nice things there.

The next day, after a nice breakfast at hotel, I brought them to the Red Stadhuys, and hubby's dad wanna take the Melaka River Cruise. So we walked to buy the boat tickets for 12pm. Then we walk around the city to the Cheng Ho Museum and see some temples while waiting for the time to take the boat ride. Well, the boat ride is indeed a very good experience. I learnt some Melaka history and saw some historical buildings.
After the Melaka River Cruise, we proceed for our lunch. We went to eat chicken rice balls. The chicken not really nice la, but the chicken rice balls are special. We took our car from the hotel after lunch and drove to Perigi Hang Li Poh... drank the water there as told by hubby's grandma. Hehehe.. Our last stop was Tan Kim Hock Product Centre, bought some delicacies there and tried their cendol also.

We drove back to KL about 4pm. It was raining quite heavily, so hubby didn't drive too fast. Rain stopped around Seremban area and we reached our house about 6 something. Really miss the food in Melaka, and definitely, I will go there again!
