Year 2010 marks Kimi's First CNY celebrations year... Hubby and I went back to Taiping on last Friday night to prepare to celebrate this CNY with Kimi. Both of us are very excited over this celebrations. As usual, on CNY's eve, we will have 2 gatherings. One is for lunch with hubby's grandma, relatives and cousins at a local restautant.
Another one is the Reunion Dinner at Hubby's house at night with my PIL and his brother ~
On the First Day of CNY, we brought Kimi to visit his great-grandma's house. This is the 2nd time Kimi went there after his full moon.

On the Second Day of CNY, hubby's brother drove us to Penang to catch a flight back to Johor. Last year, the driving journey seemed to be very long, so this year with Kimi around, we decided to take a flight back to cut down the travelling journey.

As grandma was sick recently, so everyone took this CNY opportunity to travel back from overseas to visit Grandma including my youngest auntie from the US. Ah Ma looks so happy when everyone gathered together during CNY for her. This is the most complete gathering for CNY that we have after so many years. Previous years, as some cousins were in overseas, so every gathering will sure lack of someone who couldn't make it. So this round, we really had a big reunion dinner!! All our CNY wishes are for Ah Ma... Hopes she can get well very soon ~~
This year, we have Kimi with us, so I didn't manage to shot a lot of photos. I was busy settling him and introducing him to our relatives. Missed out to help Kimi to take his pictures at my maternal's grandma house... Aiyoyo ~ Finally, the Fourth Day of CNY arrived and it was time for us to bid bye-bye to everyone. See ya next time !! I am sure Kimi enjoys himself very much throughout the whole CNY celebrations ^_^
Kimi at KLIA upon arriving KL... Finally, we are back to our own house lor !! Tomorrow we will be sending Kimi back to Taiping and will spend a few days with him until Monday before both of us start to work.
~ Wish Kimi always be a happy, healthy and good Boy ~

* Preparing for CNY *
I had a super busy weekend this week. Yesterday was a working Saturday for me. Early in the morning, before going to work, I brought some of my colleagues to the SS2 market to feel the CNY mood at the market as well as to buy some CNY decorations... According to the uncle selling CNY decor things there, this year, the 'ang pow' packets very fast sold off. All the time I went before this, I only saw some ordinary 'ang pow' packets, I don't really like it. Luckily there was a nanother stall opened yesterday and after a long searching at a few places, I finally got to buy the 'Ang Pow' packets there. So happy!!
Photos taken at the SS2 morning market... It was so crowded!!
After work and after took some rest at home, hubby and I drove to Isetan at KLCC in the evening to buy our CNY groceries... I personally like to shop at the Isetan Supermarket. There are a lot of different things for me to see everytime I go there. This round, so happened that there were having the 'Japanese Sake Fair' from 5th - 7th Feb. After tested a few types of different sake, hubby bought a few bottles for our dads to try out. Then we continue to shop for our CNY groceries. I didn't get to buy mandarin oranges there as it left with not many choices, so I came back home and bought the mandarin oranges at the Jaya Grocer near to my house.

Today early in the morning, I cleaned up the whole house with the help of hubby and a couple of part-time cleaners. We threw away some of the things at home and changed a bit of the arrangements of furniture. Phew, it was such a tiring day as the cleaning up wasn't an easy task !!! Haha... Now my house seems bigger a bit with much more lesser things. Kimi will back to KL for a few days during CNY, hopefully with the new arrangements, he will feel more comfortable :)
Tonight I collected the cookies as well from one of my good friends. Her mum is the one who bakes the CNY cookies. These cookies are very nicely bake and some of them also quite unique. I hardly can see the similar cookies sold at the departmental stores. So, I every year also buy from her as my mum and MIL like the cookies a lot...
Some of the CNY goodies which I have prepared ~~
Some of the '3D Ang Pow' packets which my colleague helped me to purchase from Petaling Street over the weekend ~~
Well, 6 more days to go before CNY!! Hopefully I have done all the necessary things and prepared whatever I need for both families ~~ I can stop all the CNY shoppings already and start counting down the days to CNY ~~ The happiest thing is that we are going back to Taiping soon to see Kimi soon and celebrate this lovely festival with him ^_^

For Hubby ~~
Yesterday was hubby's birthday. Due to super heavy rain during late evening at PJ and caused jam at everywhere, so we decided to postpone the birthday's dinner celebrations to a later date. We had a simple dinner, shopped at 1U, before we headed back home for the cake cutting ceremony. Hehe :) Hubby refused to take a picture with the cake, so I can only shot the birthday cake and the present which I had prepared earlier for him without the birthday boy ~~
Today is hubby's lunar calendar birthday. Hehe... only different by one day. So early in the morning, before he went to work, I managed to cook the 'Mee Suah Soup' for him as breakfast. This 'mee suah soup' needs to cook with a pair of eggs and eat with a pair chopstick instead of a fork. Every year, we will have the tradition of eating this dish during our Chinese calendar's birthday. Seeing hubby happily finished up the whole bowl of 'mee suah soup' really brights up my day!!
So coincidently, today is also our Chinese '立春', the Beginning of Spring. It is a brand new year and hopes Hubby can be happy, healthy always and be blessed with lots of good things for this coming new year and many, many years more... Hope this bowl of 'mee suah' can bring to him longevity and prosperity in life ~~
Hubby and Kimi's Daddy, Happy Birthday to you and may all your wishes come true!
With Love, Wife and Kimi ~

Kimi Turns His Body !!
Yesterday, we received a MMS from FIL, it was a picture of Kimi. Hehe, according to them, Kimi finally learnt how to turn his body already. Before this, Kimi was a bit lazy, always turn a bit then gave up... However, hubby's grandma has been always reminding us ~~ Do not help Kimi to turn his body when he is at the learning stage!! The first turning should be tried and learnt by himself ~~ This step is important for babies. So, all these while, we were at the side looking at him on how he tried to use his ways to flip over. We did give him some guidance, but don't think that Kimi at such a young age can understand us at all. Haha... so, he ended up crying just because he couldn't make it. Hehe... It was quite a funny scene actually :)
So last night, he finally got to turn over his body by himself. PIL saw this scene, so fast-fast grabbed the mobile phone and shot this photo for us to see. Hehe.. so nice of them!
But then, Kimi's right hand actually got stucked below his left hand when he was trying to turn. He actually struggled for some time to get his hands back in place, but ended up also seemed to be difficult for him. "Kimi, I think you will need more practices ya!! When mummy and daddy back to Taiping during CNY, hope you are able to do it better to show to us..."

CNY Preparations and Kimi at 21st Weeks ~
January was indeed a super busy month for me. Busy with work and busy travelled to visit Kimi at Taiping. All weekends were packed with either travelling or working. And January just passed so fast that I didn’t really have a chance to prepare myself for the coming CNY. I think I should really start to plan my time now. CNY is just about 12 days away. I need to shop for parents and PIL, stock-up CNY groceries and goodies for 3 families (Ourselves, Parents and PIL), decorate a bit of my house, getting a helper to help to clean up the entire house, buy ‘ang pow packets’ and change new notes for packing up ‘ang pow’, ordering mandarin oranges, cookies and ‘bak kua’, then arrange time to go and collect them… Gosh… Are these all the jobs as a housewife?? Well, I am also working full-time… Need to work and prepare all these CNY things at the same time. Can the time pass slower a bit so that I can also have enough time for me to doll up myself too? Hehe… Anyway, donno why, I still feel super happy when doing all these things, glad that I have the chances of getting things done for my families and excited over all the preparations… Although it seems to be busy, I seem to be busy happily. Haha… Moreover this is Kimi’s FIRST CNY!!! Really looking forward to celebrate it with him ~~ We will be giving to Kimi's his First 'Ang Pow' this CNY. Hurray!! I must get him a cute-cute 'ang pow packet' ~
Last Friday, I took half day off to spend some time with hubby. Both of us had been working at different time in January and didn’t get to see each other much. So we took some time to go out spent a day of 2 persons before travelled back to visit Kimi over the weekend. We spent entire 2 days with him. I tried the new soother on him and so glad that he likes it and can adapt to it very fast. For those soothers he had before this, Kimi has the problems of sucking it right as it always drop off from his mouth frequently. As for this MAM soother, Kimi has no problems on that. I think perhaps due to their teat designs!! We also let him tried on the new milk bottles as well. Initially, we trained him a couple of times to drink with water first. And today I called up MIL, Kimi can smoothly drink from the new milk bottles already. I personally think that MAM is really successful in developing their teats by making babies can easily adapt to it without much hassles.
Here are some of Kimi’s daily photos to share ^_^
~~ Kimi is busy playing and exploring to his new toys: 'Teether Twister' ~~
~~ Kimi is sitting next to his daddy... Well, do both of them look alike?? ~~
Kimi likes us to teach him how to kick his legs. By playing with him on his kicking legs, he can really smile a lot!! Hehe :) Here is one of the short video clips to share: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diWyx-q40Xc
Kimi is enjoying his time with his daddy ~~ Mummy is at the side secretly shot this mini video clip for them... Both the daddy and son must be enjoying themselves a lot ~~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQvqSpkvaKI
Happy viewing!! Very looking forward to seeing Kimi again during the coming CNY ^_^
