Kimi's Short Trip to KL

Kimi went back to Taiping this morning, ended his 4 days trip in KL. These 4 days, hubby and I had some memorable days with him, brought him around to see some X’mas decorations at shopping complexes and took a few of family portraits with him in a photo studio. Haha... although Kimi still too small to know what are all those decors and lightings for, we feel that should let Kimi feel a bit of the crowded lifestyle in KL in hoping that Kimi can get use to it ^_^ He seemed to be quite enjoyed the short trips as he did not really made noises throughout whole trips. When hubby and I were eating, he was at the side looking and smiling to us... When we brought him around for sight-seeing, he would turn his head left and right to look around... I am not too sure if he knows what he is looking at or not, but his eyes seems to be opened quite big. When he is tired, he will just doze off on his stroller... The only time when he made a bit of noises was when he needed to be fed. Once he is hungry, he needs to be fed fast. Haha :)

~ Baby Kimi and Mummy with the X'mas Decorations ~

Kimi slept with us for 4 nights. During these 4 nights, we can feel that Kimi seems to be growing up. He no longer needs to wake up almost every 2 hours for milk in the middle of the night. If we were to feed him between the times of 10pm to 12pm at night, he can actually sleep throughout the whole night without waking up crying for milk. He only wakes up at 6am to 7am to ask for feed the next morning. Of course during those sleeping hours at night, once a while Kimi will make some soft noises, open a bit of his little eyes and stretch his arms to move a bit, but he will sleep back a short while after that. We feel glad that Kimi knows how to differentiate between day and night time. Just hope that his sleeping routine will continue to be the same or perhaps can improve to be better so that it will be easier for us at night time. Hehe... we no need to wake up so many times at night to feed him and can have a better sleep too :)

~ Baby Kimi with his little uncles and aunties. They are all hubby's little cousins ~

Oh ya, Kimi also seems to like to smile more often nowadays and can respond faster when we are talking or playing with him. He seems to want to talk to us also and we can hear his smiling sounds more often now as well...

Hope that Kimi can grow up to be a healthy boy and be happy forever!!
See you in another 2 weeks’ time ^_^ Mummy and Daddy will be missing you...

~ Family Outing at The Picture Company ~

A few weeks ago, we saw this new shop opening at One Utama new wing. Out of curiosity, hubby and I walked in to have a look. The shop name is called 'The Picture Company'. After we found out some information from the friendly staffs there, we got to know that they are having some promotions for the month of November to celebrate their new opening. All sessions fees are FOC from now until 30th November. Otherwise, the price starts from RM80 onwards depends on the number of pax to be in the photos.

At first I thought I have no chance to bring Kimi there already as Kimi won't be back to KL until end of December... But I was so happy when MIL called me up on last week to tell me that they will come to KL on this long weekend instead of we go back to Taiping. So without any delay, after I told hubby the news, we went to One Utama to book for one session on Friday so that we can take some of Kimi's baby photos and our family portraits with Kimi.

~ This is the shop at One Utama. The shop was quite crowded when we reached perhaps because it was a public holiday today ~

We spent about near to one hour for the whole photography session as we stopped a while halfway as Kimi needed to be fed. So glad that Kimi did not sleep throughout the whole session, and he was quite ok with the photo-shooting :)

For more information about the company, do visit: http://www.picturecompany.com.my.

After one hour, we walked back to the shop to view the photos. They were all very nicely taken!! Hubby and I were very satisfied and excited to see those photos... We shortlisted a few poses and finally chose four pieces of 8R photos to be developed by them. Hehe... Hubby ended up volunteered to sponsor me to sign up as their member to enjoy more privileges. The membership is for one year. Thank you, hubby!!

More on member's benefits can be read at:
http://www.picturecompany.com.my/member.html

If you sign-up the membership on the month of November, the membership fee has 30% discount!! Really a very good deal ^_^

After all the photo-shootings, we had our lunch at Burger King. Kimi was at the side looking at us. For now, Kimi's food is only milk, so he cannot enjoy the french fries yet ~~

Our half-day Family Outing ended after the lunch. We headed back home for Kimi to sleep as One Utama was quite crowded. Tonight we will bring him out again ^_^

These Little Hands...

His fingers
are so tiny,

so marvelously perfect.
Soon they will
reach out to touch
the smiling faces
of everyone around him…

These little hands

will explore, discover,
and bring the world to him
for his inspection and delight.
With these hands he will throw balls,
capture bugs, and build castles in the sand.
He will use them to open books
and unlock the doors to knowledge.
These are the hands
that may someday sculpt, make music,
or cuddle children of his own.

His hands
are so tiny now,

and yet within them lie the future
and the fulfillment
of all his precious dreams.
So hold him gently
and watch with pride
as he reaches out in love and joy
to all of life...

[I read the above wordings from a 'Congratulation Card' which we bought for a client. I find that they are very interesting and meaningful, so I decided to copy and post it up on my blog. Hope that Kimi can get to read it one day ~~]

Dual Colour Crochet Booties ~

Today, I bought 2 pairs of booties from 'Simple Scarves'. I chose one pair of 'baby blue' and one pair of 'celery' colour for Kimi. The base colour for these booties will be in dark brown. Hope he will like it ~~ I believe these booties will be comfortable to wear on as each pair will be specially crochet up for your baby... So I decided to buy them for Kimi.

I very like these booties when Mabel introduced it a few months ago at her website. But then she told me it was still quite early for me to order for Kimi (as that time Kimi was still in my tummy). But now I ordered the booties size at '9 months' so that Kimi can wear a bit longer.. Haha :)

You all can now pre-order your booties! Check out the description for more info! To pick a size and colour, simply choose from relevant options. Do note that there is an increase in price depending on the size. More information can be read at: http://shop.thescarfer.net

Pneumococcal Vaccination (1st Dose)

Today, as scheduled by the pediatrician, we are bringing Kimi for the Pneumococcal Vaccination. Today is the first dose, and total it has 4 doses. The pediatrician informs us that the younger a baby starts the jab, the more doses he/she has to take. Maximum is 4 doses for Kimi if he starts at his 2 months' old. Schedules will be 2 months, 4 months, 6 months and after 12 months.

After Kimi's took his bath and drank his milk, we let him took a rest first before we drove to the hospital. So, I asked hubby to help us took a picture in the room ~~

Pity Kimi... he shouted before the pediatrician shot the jab on his left thighs. This round he cried a bit more than the last round jab. But after a while, he was ok and fell asleep on my arms before we left the hospital back to home. Oh ya, Kimi weighs 6.2kgs at his 10th weeks. The pediatrician informs us that Kimi has a healthy growth chart ^_^

Another two more weeks, Kimi needs to have another jab again (2nd dose for one of the compulsory jabs). So we will be back to Taiping in another two weeks' time ~~

11.11.2009 ~ Our 2nd Anniversary Celebrations ~

11.11.2009 ~ 2 years ago, we vowed to each other on this very special day ~

Two wonderful years had passed, and we no longer a 2-persons family. We added in Kimi this year, make it three persons in our lovely family. Too bad, Kimi couldn't join us for today's celebration as he is at Taiping now. But we will be visiting him on this coming weekend ~~

Hubby suggested to bring me to have our dinner at SOHO KL since I never dine there before this... He said wanna see if there is any nice Chinese food restaurant there or not. After walked for a few rounds, we didn't see any nice Chinese restaurant around. So we walked out from SOHO KL, and saw this restaurant D'Empire Brasserie at the opposite. We found that the ambience in there was quite ok, so we entered into the restaurant to give it a try... I was told by the waiter there they served Italian food.

After browsed through the menu and after discussed on what type of food we should try... these were what we ordered ~~

~ Seafood Risotto; Emmental Chicken; Corona Extra and English Tea ~

~ D'Empire Brasserie ~

~ Our dessert: Chocolate Hazelnut Trufle ~

This is very superb dessert! Hubby very like it... I am someone who does not really likes to eat chocolate, but this is really a 'thumbs-up' dessert. It is simply delicious especially the chocolate on top, very yummy!! ~~

Betty's Midwest Kitchen

Today after back from Taiping, we went back home for a rest before dinner. As we were quite tired after the journey, so hubby suggested to me to have our dinner at a nearby place. At the end, we decided to go to Aman Suria there to have a look and tried out a newly opened restaurant ~ Betty's Midwest Kitchen ~

~ Country Fried Chicken: RM13.00 ~

~ Clear Mushroom Soup with Barley: RM8.00 ~
~ Pull Pork Burger: RM12.00 ~
Overall, the dinner was very satisfying. Price is quite reasonable for the food served. Hubby and I will definitely go again ^_^ The boss and staffs there are very friendly as well.

An Unplanned Trip Back to Visit Kimi ~

Last Wednesday, hubby gave me a surprise by informing me that he wanted to fetch me back to Taiping to visit Kimi, but he only will be free on Saturday morning, after settled his work. So I happily waited for the this day to arrive!! Saturday morning finally came and both of us drove back to Taiping at 9am so that we can spend more time with Kimi ^_^

~ We brought Kimi to Taiping Lake for an evening walk. He seemed to enjoy it. Hehe :) ~

~ Kimi at Home ~

Although the time spent with Kimi seemed not really enough, I still appreciate it ~~

Kimi, we shall see you again on next week!!

Shopping for Kimi

Hubby gave me a surprise today! This afternoon, he told me that he changed his standby shift on this weekend with his colleague. He said he can fetch me back to Taiping to visit Kimi. Hehe... I was so happy when I knew that. Hubby is always like this, although he is not so good in words, occasionally he will do some small things to brighten up my day ~~ Perhaps he can sense that I am missing Kimi, so he changed his shift with colleague without letting me know in advance. Thank you, hubby! Hehe, sometimes you can be sweet too ^_^

Today, after fetched hubby from work, it was still raining quite heavily. Everywhere also very jam. So we drove into Hartamas Shopping Centre for dinner. After dinner, we walked into Toys 'R' Us. Hubby said want to buy a Clip-On Fan for Kimi to put on his stroller. After shopped for a while, we found this ~ Lucky Baby: Mini Laser Safety Clip-On Fan. Hope Kimi will like it and feel more comfortable to lie on the stroller with this extra fan :)

Last Monday, when I shopped at Mid Valley, happened to pass by World of Cartoons shop. They are having some promotions now. I bought 2 pairs of clothes for Kimi at RM10.00 per pair only and bought one pair of new arrival pyjamas at RM18.90. A few of Kimi's pants seem smaller now, so I decided to help him change the pants so that he can feel comfortable when wearing them. Since this weekend we are heading back to Taiping, so tomorrow I will wash the new clothes and bring them back for Kimi ~

Shopping for Myself

I have one week for myself before getting back to work officially although sometimes I did work a bit from home... So yesterday I decided to spend one whole day at Mid Valley for myself. I went to dye my hair and did some shopping. I shopped around for a while only, as I spent most of the time at the hair saloon to make my hair looked beautiful. Hehe... I need a refreshing look to get back to work. Cannot let myself to be an 'auntie' although I am a mummy of one child.

Most of my working skirts are a bit tight, so cannot wear to work for now. So I bought myself 2 casual one-piece dresses so that I can wear to work or to wear on leisure time too. Haha, I got myself a pair of shoes as well...

~ The dresses and shoes which I bought ~
I think I need to bring out all my working wears to try on it one by one and see which one can wear to work for now. I need to start to wash them since I have not been wearing them for a few months already... Hehe, my task for this week!

~ Kimi and I Separated ~

I am back from Taiping today. Finally, I am going to end my maternity leaves in one week's time and getting back to work very soon. We temporary will be putting Kimi at hubby's house back in Taiping for a few months. Really hope Kimi and I will sleep well tonight because today is the first night that we are sleeping separately after 8 weeks. Will both of us be missing each other? Donno if I can sleep well tonight or not?

We brought Kimi for jabs yesterday. He took the first dose of the compulsory jabs. This jab can be taken when baby is 2 to 3 months' old. Besides, after being advised by the pediatrician, we decided to give baby Kimi the 'Rotavirus' vaccine as well yesterday. In another 2 weeks' time, when we go back Taiping again, perhaps will bring Kimi for the 'Pneumococcal' vaccine. Hope that with all these vaccines, Kimi can grow up to be stronger. Kimi weighs 5.6kg and 56cm height at 8 weeks ^_^

Haih... a bit sad today as I need to pour away the breast milk which I pump out starting from tonight. Baby Kimi won't be able to latch on me already. From tomorrow onwards, Kimi will be starting on full formula milk feeding. A bit disappointed that my MIL cannot accept frozen breast milk. Just hope that Kimi can get use formula milk very soon.
