Welcoming A New Life!

To our beloved Baby Kimi,
A little diary of yours ~~

I really wish can update my blog on the day I delivered baby Kimi, so that I can write down all the things happened on that day. But it was impossible for me to bring a laptop to hospital. Hehe… But is ok, I tried to recall as much as I can so that next time I can show to Kimi, how his mummy had all the pains and finally delivered him on the 6th September 2009.

5th September 2009:
As I was still in a dilemma of choosing which way to use to deliver my baby, that night itself I was chatting with some friends online while clearing some office work and also washing some baby clothes… I might be delivering in a few days’ time, so I thought I should start washing some baby clothes and others so that I can pack them in a bag. As for my things, all are nicely arranged, but I haven’t packed them in a bag yet. Thinking of doing it tomorrow, on a Sunday. Hope it is not too late. My Sunday plans were, writing job relieves and clearing whatever jobs that I can + packing up baby clothes which are left to dry at the balcony.

6th September 2009:
It actually started around 2am something. I feel stomach pain on and off. I thought it was the 'nasi lemak' which I ate for dinner made me stomach pain. So, I went to toilet, but it didn’t seem to ease the pain. The pain continued until I woke up hubby and told him that my stomach was not feeling well. He was asking me, need to see any doctor or not. I told him, so far should be ok, the pain was just on and off, maybe later will get better later.

3am something, the pain continued… I woke up hubby again, and told him, perhaps I might be delivering soon as the pain didn’t seem to be normal stomach pain. Hubby first reaction was, ‘Har, sure or not? So early meh? Got so fast meh?’ I myself also cannot tell, because this is the first time I had this type of pain. I think this is what people call it as contractions.

Since I was not able to fall asleep because of the pain, so I woke up and started to pack some things. Hubby woke up together with me, helping me to pack. He packed baby stuffs while I packed my own things. Everything settled around at 4am something. The contractions continued while I was packing. Then I went to the toilet only to realize that I bleed a bit. I remembered my mum told me before, if the bleeding came first before the water broke, I still have some time to bath. As it was so early in the morning, hubby did not allow me to wash my hair. So I bathed without washing hair.

Then we headed to Pantai Hospital at Bangsar. When we reached there, it was 5am something. As our car was parked quite a distance away from the Emergency department, I walked slowly with the contractions pain together with hubby and a guard whom leaded us to the Emergency department.

I was sent to the labour room for monitoring once I reached the Labour Ward. The nurses need to check if my contractions were for real. After monitoring for some time, yes, the nurse walked in and told me that my contractions were for real, not any false alarm, and I would be delivering by today also. My first and only contractions for delivering baby Kimi happened on today ~~

~ Me in the Labour Room choosing food menu ~

Oh gosh, I don’t think I am prepared for that. It was about 6am something. I need to wait for a while for the gynae to come. The nurses told me, by looking at my conditions, I should be delivering sometime around 12pm. Wow, from now till 12pm, still have few hours more. This means that the pain need to last for so long more… Since there were still a bit of time, hubby went back home first, to help me do some prayers at home, while contacting both parents on my conditions.

The gynae came in around 8am. Hubby reached few minutes later. After the ultrasound, after the explanation from the gynae, in order for her to monitor my complications during the delivery period, I was not given an epidural. Then, I jokingly told hubby, not bad though, baby even helped us to save on the epidural fees. Hehehe… Gynae left us and told us that she will be back by 12pm.

Contractions began to occur more often. Gosh, the pain seems more and more pain. But the clock seemed moving very slow. How I wished 12pm faster reached! As the dripping getting longer, the pain seemed more serious. Hubby was next to me, witnessed everything. He told me, I was crying for pain at that time. I myself also cannot really remember. All I could remember, I was in real pain and kept on asking the nurse to give me some medicine to ease the pain.

The nurses told hubby to rub my back for me. He did accordingly. Then, the nurses brought in the oxygen mask and taught me how to use it. But I was really in a pain that I couldn’t even hold the mask properly. Hubby helped me on that. He asked me to breath in and out while he hold the mask for me. At that moment of time, I really feel very fortunate that I had him next to me, helping me on everything, and creating jokes for me. I think, I have known him for so long, this is the first time, he seriously created jokes for me to laugh so that I could temporary forget about the pain I was having at that time.

Hours passed and finally 12pm reached. Doctor reached as well. Nurses were all ready for me and hubby was standing next to me. I even told him, if needed, maybe need to borrow his arm to bite, just in case I cannot stand the pain. Midwives and doctor were all giving me encouragement and motivation throughout the whole labouring process. All I can hear is, ‘Don’t worry, you can do it, you are doing very well, yaya.. keep pushing, keep pushing, etc’… Luckily the pushing part only lasted for about 20+ minutes. And the next moment of time, I heard loud baby crying and then I was holding baby Kimi on my arms. The doctor chose to use vacuum method due to the complication I had during the labouring time. The midwife showed the baby to me before they sent him for cleaning up. Hubby was very excited. I can see his smiles on his face although I was very weak at that time. While doctor was helping me on the stitching up and others, hubby went to another room with the midwife to see on how baby was cleaned up, etc… He took pictures of the baby and showed to me after that… Finally, the whole labouring process ended and waiting to feed my baby soon ~~

~ Baby Kimi after cleaning up ~

I thank God for giving me a smooth delivery on this day;
I thank Hubby for standing by me throughout the whole process and giving me strength all the time;
I thank Baby Kimi for choosing the way for me on how I shall deliver him instead of we choose ourselves…

~ Me with Baby Kimi in the room ~

I think Baby Kimi sensed my anxiety and dilemma after the routine check-up with gynae on the day before this. That is why he chose to meet us up on this day ~ 6th September 2009 ~ !

Again, this is another day that I will remember for life, the day which we welcome baby Kimi to our family!

Love from,
Your daddy and mummy ~~

To Wait; To Induce or To C-Sec?

Today, I went for my routine weekly check-up. This is my week 37th. When we reached, same procedures, urine test and measurement of blood pressure. Everything was ok, except for my weight again. I didn't gain any weight for the past one week again. This makes me a bit worry before entering into the gynae's room for check-up.

Gynae was very satisfied with my blood pressure level. But when I had the ultrasound scan, things didn't look good, as baby growth slow down again. This round, he weighs 2.8+kgs. Gynae showed us the baby's growth chart. From the chart, we can see that, baby's growth has been quite stagnant for the past 2-3 weeks. He didn't really get the nutrients from me, from the food which I had been eating. This is not a good sign and is one of the systoms develops due to my blood pressure. Although the blood pressure was controlled under the medications which I took, it didn't really help on the baby's growth.

So after the scanning, doctor gave hubby and I some advices. We can choose to continue to wait for a normal delivery. But this might cause certain risks to the baby, as if baby continues to stop growing in me, he won't be able to take in any nutrients from me anymore. This is definitely not good for his health.

Secondly, is to induce labour. She recommends induction to me because the risks of waiting for labour to start on its own are higher than the risks of the procedures used to get my labour going. Moreover, the level of placenta water in me has lowered again this week. To continue to wait for a normal labour, the risks for baby and I will be higher.

Thirdly, of course, is the Caesarean section which I do not really prefer it. But if last minute, inducing labour does not work out, a c-sec needs to be performed.

Gynae gave us a few days to think about it, and deciding on which way to use. I will need to go back for another check-up on next Tuesday. If we choose to wait for a normal delivery, then she will guide us again on the things that I need to do. But of course, if we choose to wait, then we have to bear the certain risks that our baby might be facing during the waiting period.

Haih... I am really in a dilemma now. To Wait; to Induce or to C-Sec??

Baby ar baby, can you teach your mummy what to do so that I can provide to you the best for your health? All I wish now, is a Healthy You!!

On the happy part... Today, our baby smiles to us during the ultrasound. From the 3D scan, it looked so clear. Hehe... this is our first time to see him from the screen with such a clear look. Hubby and I were so excited and even smiled to ourselves when we see him on the screen. Hehe :) I think the next round we are seeing him, it should be outside of the uterus instead of viewing from a ultrasound scanner ^_^

Pregnancy Photo-Shooting Fun (Indoor)

These set of indoor photos were taken inside my apartment. As hubby needs to work on that day, so I fast-fast grab him to spare for a few minutes to take a few photos with me. At least I can keep them for remembrance ~~

Baby, this is how your mummy look like when you are near to 36 weeks in me and your daddy is just beside me doting on you. We will show you these photos when you grow up ya… Mummy looked a bit tired on these photos hor, perhaps before this the outdoor shooting was a bit hot for me. But hope the photos look beautiful to you ^_^

Some sweet memories that we have created for our baby through these photos ^_^

Thanks to Ashley once again!!

Final Shoppings for Baby

As gynae told me, I might have an early delivery. Since today at home, nothing much to do, so I took out the list of things that I wish to buy but haven't buy yet for our baby to have a look at it to see if we miss out anything. Nothing much actually, all the things needed, hubby and I should have prepared everything already, only left some minor things.

Nowadays, I also try to avoid shopping complexes and too crowded places due to the increase rates of AH1N1. So after our dinner at SS2, we went to shop at Babyland, since their sales will be over soon. During the Antenatal classes that we attended, the nurse actually adviced us to use non-flavoured baby shampoo and cotton balls on baby instead of the facial cotton type. So, we bought the cotton balls and baby shampoo at Babyland.

Besides, I also bought the NUK feeding bottles and teats as well. According to a few of my friends, who breastfeed their babies, I was told by them, to use feeding bottles from NUK brand. So I went to buy a couple of the bottles (one big and one small) in case I need to use them during breastfeeding. According to them, this brand of teats are much more similar to a mummy's nipple compare to other brands, so it won't cause much confusion to the baby during the feeding. After I stopped breastfeed my baby, then I can use back the Avent bottles which I got them earlier from my auntie.

We will be using the baby cot from hubby's cousin set, so we don't have to prepare for that. All we need to do is to buy the 2pc Cot Bumper to put at the side of the baby cot. We bought the set from Bumble Bee brand, with the design 'Nursery Rhymes'. Hehe, hope our baby will like it ~~

So, all the things for baby should be ready by now. All I need to do is to arrange and pack them in a bag. I will start to wash the baby's clothes and towels which I need to bring to hospital on next week ^_^

Week 36 - Routine Weekly Check-Up

As adviced by my gynae, I am supposed to go back to the clinic today for my weekly check-up and also to let her monitor my baby's growth today.

So, early in the morning, I woke up at 8am to eat my medicine (as scheduled) and breakfast, then called up the clinic to take a number for myself. I reached there about 9 something, but doctor will arrive later as she had to perform a Caesarean for one of her patients in the morning. She arrived near to about 11am at the clinic, and lucky that my number is the 1st one, so the waiting still considered ok for me...

Blood pressure under control, urine test also ok, just that I didn't gain any weight, still the same as last week. I weigh at 73.5kgs at my week 36. At first a bit worried, so I sms hubby and told him about this. He said is ok, don't worry first. As long as baby is gaining weight, then should be ok. So I patiently waited for the gynae to arrive.

So, after speaking to the gynae and the ultrasound session, baby is alright. His heartbeats are fine and the internal organs are functioning well too. Our baby is weighing at 2.7kgs now. Feel so relieve that he is gaining weight and is growing since last week, and my placenta water also on the normal level now. Gynae told me, everything for me now is under control and all I need to do now, is to rest more and rest more ~~~

Today I had a jab, and tomorrow need another one as well. These jabs are to prepare me in case I need an early delivery (just in case due to my high blood pressure). These jabs are to provide nutrients to the fetus and also to mature the fetus's lungs, which lowers the risk of breathing problems after birth. For now, everything are under control, so hope things will get better for me on everyday ~

Baby, hope you can grow healthily under the care of your daddy, mummy and the gynae!! Oh ya, today get to scan a picture of your little legs, but too bad, not very clear. Tonight will show it to your daddy :)

Today, the nurse gave me a few packets of newborn diapers samples again. Really very kind of them! This round is the brand from 'Fitti'. Haha.. with all these free samples that I have collected, I think can last me for a few weeks already after baby is borned.

So, tomorrow will go for another jab, and waiting patiently for my next weekly check-up again ^_^

Me on my MC Days

These few days MC at home, besides do some office work from home, settle some of my pending jobs, my tasks are resting, eating and sleeping... Tomorrow hubby will be going back to work, so I will be home alone already.

At home, since nothing much to do, so I decided to cook my own dinner. Today is the 2nd time I cooked. Thought of updating it in my blog, so took a few pictures of the food. Since I am cooking myself, so I went to buy some vegetables, a fish and also a chicken drumstick from a nearby mini-market. Although I don't really like to eat drumstick, hubby has been telling me, drumstick is more nutritious, ask me to eat more, so I decided to cook it with some oyster sauce. Luckily the taste turned out quite ok ~~

Oyster Sauce Chicken with Potatoes

Fried Vegetables

Steamed Fish

A meal of home-cooked dinner with hubby

Perhaps these few days at home, sit too much, legs seem like more swollen than the last few days. I can feel a bit of pain also if walk too much. I realize that my toes look shorter a bit because of the swell. My hands also seem like easier to get numb more often than usual. Luckily all the pregnancy systoms just happened not very long ago and I am going to deliver in a few weeks' time. Hope that all the pains can be over soon ~~

Baby, your daddy and mummy are waiting anxiously for your arrival. We always pray for a healthy you!! Hope the weekly check-up on this coming Friday will turn out fine.

Pregnancy Photo-Shooting Fun (Outdoor)

Last Sunday, my friend Ashley, travelled all the way from her house at Setapak to meet me at PJ to shoot some of my pregnancy portraits for me. Initially, I really never thought of taking any of my pregnancy photos, but Ashley was so kind enough, to offer me to take some photos for me. When the offer came, it suddenly really did strike my mind. Yes, perhaps, I should take a few photos as remembrance, to mark this wonderful journey which I have in my life, and to show it to my baby later when he grows up, how is his mummy looks like when I am carrying him in my tummy ~~

These photos were taken outside the apartment where I am currently staying. I did not put up anything on my face on that day, so I think I look a bit not so photogenic, and with a chubby-cutie face. Haha... I think this is supposed to be a pregnant mummy look, isn't it? I think my face changes a lot after I am pregnant, especially on my nose ~ This is what hubby always tell me...

I shall upload a few of the indoor photos again after I get it from my friend ^_^

One Week MC at Home

After my gynae weekly check-up on last Saturday, after all the scanning and checking, my gynae actually adviced me to take one week MC and rest at home. As Sunday was not a working day, so my MC starts today.

Last Saturday, after the ultrasound, we were informed by our gynae that baby was only growing by 100gms since the last check-up which was one week ago. So, seems like not so healthy. She adviced me to have more rest and go back again this Friday for check-up.

Last week baby was growing healthily in me, all the graphs and charts that gynae showed us, all also on the good side. Baby's kidney and internal organs all also working properly. But donno why this week baby growth becomes slower a bit and the placenta water level in me also lesser a bit than the normal level... So this friday need to go back for another check-up and let gynae to monitor the baby's growth again.

Baby's weight during:
33 weeks of pregnancy: 2.1 kgs
34 weeks of pregnancy: 2.4 kgs
35 weeks of pregnancy: 2.5 kgs

Hope this Friday when I go for my weekly check-up, all will become normal back and baby is growing healthily in me. If baby does not grow much this week again, perhaps need to deliver earlier because baby might not be able to get much nutrients from me.

But gynae asked me no need to worry too much. Our baby is active during the scan. Just that I need to eat my blood pressure medicine regularly on time and rest more ^_^

So, my task of this week: REST MORE AND REST MORE AND EAT MORE !!! ~~

35th Weeks of Pregnancy

Today marks my 35th weeks and 3 days of my pregnancy journey... This means that our baby will be arriving soon to meet his daddy and mummy. A few more weeks of exciting and anxious feelings to go while waiting for the arrival of the little one ~~

As dated earlier, my friend, Ashley, will be coming today to my house, to help me take a few shots of my pregnancy portrait. So nice of her... Thank you, Ashley, for coming all the way from Setapak to meet me at my house at PJ this morning!! I really had a great time with you, besides the photo shooting part, as well as the 'dim sum' as brunch that we had... Too bad, hubby needs to work today, so I only managed to capture a couple of photos with him only, and the rest are all my personal portraits. Hahahaha :) But then is ok, at least I have the photos for remembrance and can show to my baby next time, how his mummy looks like when I am carrying him in my tummy ^_^

These few shots were taken with my own digital camera...
Baby also got a new present today as well from Ashley... Thanks again, Ashley! The shirt is really very cute. After you left, I showed it to hubby after he finished his work. Both of us like it very much!!

My legs showed signs of swollen starting from my 33 weeks of pregnancy. I think this symptom does appear on most pregnant women. Now, my body also feel slightly heavier because of the swollen legs.

I had a great time today with Ashley, and luckily the weather was good in the morning :)

Outing of The Day ~

After a couple of weeks of staying at home after work and not going to too crowded places such as shopping complexes, today hubby finally agreed to bring me to One Utama. Hurray! The main purpose this time is to buy some CDs from MPH. They are now having sales for children books and VCDs. Hubby saw the booths when he was having lunch with his colleagues last week at 1U, so he decided to bring me to go and have a look today (since is a weekday and shopping complex should not be very crowded).

We bought 3 VCDs at the MPH counters. As they are on sales items, so not really a lot of choices. After scouting around, we bought 2 Barney and and 1 Baby Einstein VCDs... Hope our baby will like it when we play for him next time ~~

After buying the VCDs, hubby suggested to me to have dinner at Italiannies. Haha ~~ Today hubby so nice ler, maybe I have been eating 'take-away' food nowadays at home, so he wanna bring me to eat something better, since I have been longing to eat mushroom soup for a few days already ^_^

At first thought of ordering their pasta, but since only 2 of us, so we only order one pizza and of course, one bowl of mushroom soup. Yummy-yummy !!

This mushroom soup is very delicious!~ Sicilian Pizza ~
This pizza is marked as New in the menu, so we decided to give it a try...
Thanks, hubby, for such a nice outing today !!
I really enjoyed myself, although it was a short trip ~~

This checklist I compiled for baby's nursery usage. We have bought some of the items such as pillow, bolster, blanket and waterproof bed pad. But there are also a few items that we find not really very in need, so we don’t prepare for that. As for the baby cot, we will use back hubby’s cousin set. Parents-in-law will clean and tidy it and let our baby sleep on it ~~

Nursery
□ Baby cot
□ Crib Set (Cot Bumpers, Fitted Sheet, Comforter)
□ Mattress (Latex / Foam)
□ Newborn Pillow & Bolster
□ Waterproof Bed Pads
□ Blanket
□ Night Light
□ Lullaby Player
□ Baby Monitor
□ Musical Mobile

The next things we need to buy are the crib set and mattress for baby ^_^

Preparations for Baby

Today, I am a very obedient mummy-to-be. I stayed and rested at home the whole day besides visiting the gynae for my blood pressure test in the afternoon and having dinner.

I heard from friend, Claudia, that Babyland at SS2 is having sales now. After dinner, hubby decided to bring me go there since today I am at home the whole day, to see anything that we can buy for our baby.

We saw a lot of things are on sales. Supposed thought of wanna to get one baby mattress and one crib bedding set for baby, but we ended up didn't get to buy. Hubby said perhaps can ask his mum first before we buy it to make sure we buy the correct ones. So, finally, we only bought one bath mat and one water resistant pad.

Last Thursday when I went for my monthly check-up, the nurse there gave us some free samples again. This round is the 'Huggies' diapers for Newborn. It comes with a very nice bag also. So kind of the nurse... So this 2 packets of diapers, I will bring them to the hospital together with me when I deliver that time.

Last week when we went for our Antenatal Class, the nurse there told us that we should prepare at least 5 pairs of mittens and booties to bring to the hospital during my delivery time. So we bought this at Jusco since now there are sales as well for baby items.

Three pairs of mittens and booties for RM10.90 only. Quite a worth buy!

Brother-in-law's girlfriend helped me to buy this 'Benedictine D.O.M' from the airport when she was back from overseas. I heard from friends that I should get one or two bottles to use during my confinement period. So I bought it ~~

Hehe... Hope my baby doesn't get drunk through the breastmilk when I breastfeed him :)

33rd Weeks of Pregnancy

Yesterday, marked my 33rd weeks of pregnancy. Hubby accompanied me to go for my monthly gynae check-up. Luckily he was with me, yesterday check-up was not a smooth one. I was diagnosesd with high blood pressure yesterday. Although it is not really on the super high side, gynae needs to monitor me closely. She gave me MC for today. So today I need to go back to the clinic again to take my blood pressure and also to do a few blood tests to test my sugar level as well.

After the test, blood pressure still on the border line of high side. But doctor needs me to rest a lot and advices me to be on medication too to see how things go next as high blood pressure during pregnancy cannot be taken lightly. She explained to me the consequences of not taking any medicine during this period and adviced me what is the best way for me to do now. So I agreed on her to be on medication. I took one pill at the clinic in the afternoon and needs to go back again after one hour. After one hour, blood pressure really goes down to normal reading. So, doctor also reduce the amount of medicine which I need to take at home to only 2 times in a day instead of 3 times. And, tomorrow needs to go to the clinic again to take my blood pressure again so that doctor can monitor me closely on this.

Doctor asked me no need to worry too much. The only thing I need to do is to rest more. Baby and I are both healthy. Doctor gave me and baby a thorough check-up. Baby is growing steadily, and my body has no signs of complications so far...

Our baby is weighing 2.1 kgs at his 33rd weeks. Doctor said the baby is growing well, asked me no need to worry. Hope things can be better on me so that my baby can grow healthily in me. Doctor will monitor me closely to make sure I am also healthy.

I pray for a healthy baby and Me so that I can deliver safely when I am due on next month ^_^ Baby, we must support and take good care of each other ya ~~

My look at my 33rd Weeks of Pregnancy ~~ Hubby took this photo for me to cheer me up yesterday... My face looks so chubby on this picture. So much different from the look before I got pregnant. Hehe :)

Baby, today you finally showed mummy your face after so many months!! So happy ~~
Too bad this afternoon your daddy was not with us, but never mind. Tonight I will show your daddy the 3D scan picture once he is back from work...

Presents for Baby

Last Saturday, my sister was here in KL with her hubby. She brought some presents for the baby on this trip. Hehe... Got baby shirts, bibs, socks, mittens and booties ~~ The pair of mitten and booties are from my youngest sister. She is still studying, so sweet of her to use her pocket money to buy the little present for my baby :) As for the rest, are from my 2nd sister and her hubby. Thanks ya!! They look so cutie ~~

My youngest auntie was back from the US 3 weeks ago for her business trip in Singapore. She came back to Pontian as well over the weekend to visit my grandma and the rest of those family members back at home. I didn't manage to meet up with her at Pontian. She bought some presents for my baby as well. So my sister brought them to KL for me. Thanks ya, Sheau Ku!!

Some shirts, a pair of lovely shoes and a little teddy bear ~~

Milk Bottles from Avent ~

This set of feeding bottles, supposingly I wanted to buy online through Amazon.com, but they don't ship this set of product to Malaysia. So, I asked my auntie to help me purchase it in US. Instead of me paying for it, she gave to me as present as well. Really thanks her a lot to bring back so many things for me all the way from US...

Baby, you see, you have so many people dote on you ~~ You must be happy ya ~~

But, this set of feeding bottles are transparent yellow in colour, looks a bit different to me, as I always see transparent white bottles here. Why is it so? Maybe need to consult some of my friends on this... This new mummy-to-be still not so knowledgeable yet :)

Attending Antenatal Classes

Last Saturday, hubby and I attended our first Antenatal Class at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur located at the neighbourhood of Bangsar. Each classes will be about 2 to 3 hours. There are a total of 5 classes which inclusive of:

Session 1:
- Nutrition In Motherhood
- Features of Newborn

Session 2:
- Process of Labour
- Pain Relief in Labour

Session 3:
- Breastfeeding & Childhood Survivor
- Getting The Right Start to Breastfeeding
- Pamper Your Body

Session 4:
- Prenatal Execises

Session 5:
- Care of Newborn
- Tour of Delivery Suite / Post Natal Ward / Breastfeeding Room

The class on Saturday started at 12pm and ended near to 3pm. It was quite an interesting class and refreshments were served. I realized that most couples and mummies seemed to enjoy their class very much. The nutritionist talk was a informative one as I got to know what type of food to replace instead of eating more supplements. She also showed us a list of healthy snacks to eat during the pregnancy time.

As the doctor for the talk of ‘Features of Newborn’ had an emergency to attend to on that Saturday, so the class was replaced by ‘Care of Newborn’. During this session, we learnt how to take of our newborn baby, how to bath the baby, etc. The speaker made it a very interesting one. She informed us what to bring to the hospital during the delivery day and what need to do. Besides, she also told us on what type of things can be used and what not to use on a newborn baby... Hubby and I learned some new knowledge during the class. Really worth the effort of attending the class :)

The coordinator informs us that Pantai Hospital is a 'Baby Friendly Hospital' which promotes, supports and protects breastfeeding exclusively from birth up to 6 months. She also informs us that baby will be rooming together with the mummy throughout the stay in the hospital so that the mummy will be there for the baby needs at anytime, instead of separate the baby in another room. There will be a class on how to bath the baby correctly in the ward as well during the stay in the hospital. So, our confinement lady or maid or hubby can also join in the class to learn together if they wish to. Hehe…

This is a very good idea I find, as I am a new mummy, a lot of things need to learn from the nurse during my stay in the hospital ~~ Moreover, we can go back to the hospital during the period of six months after our delivery (once a month), to get consultation and guidance for breastfeeding. The nurses there will assist and guide us throughout the breastfeeding journey…

But, now question is, am I able to do that?
Hehe… I can only know the answer after my delivery ^_^

Shoppings for Baby

Yesterday after work, hubby fetched me to The Gardens, wanted to buy the pillow we saw at Robinsons before this since now is sales period. But after we reached there, compared the prices between a few brands, we ended up bought the pillow and bolster from 'Bumble Bee' counter. Hope that the pillow is comfortable for the baby to sleep on.

Today after dinner, we walked into the Mom's Care shop in One Utama, wanted to see any cheaper shirts to buy or not. Hubby saw the promotion tag, 'Buy 2 for RM25'. So we bought 2 bodysuits for baby. As my sister will be giving some of her baby's clothes to me as well, so we only bought one size for newborn and one size for 0-3 months. Besides, we bought one infant cap and a pair of mittens & booties as well.

Ok, as far as baby's apparels are concerned, I think we have bought all are needed. Hope won't left out any, and also hope won't over buy as well...

Apparels we have bought for our baby so far:
- Baby clothes: 6 pairs (3 long sleeves + 1 short sleeves + 2 bodysuits)
