Walk Around @ Shirakawa-go (Part 3)

Continue from my earlier blog post @ Shirakawa-go…

Shirakawa-go did not snow during our arrival day. It did snow a few days ago but during our arrival day, the snow almost melted due to the warm winter weather. Indeed, a very different winter this year at Shirakawa-go! It was a warm winter in Japan.

Shiroyama Viewpoint -

A MUST visit is you are in Shirakawa-go! The Shiroyama Viewpoint is located at the north of the village center and it offers very beautiful views of Ogimachi and its farmhouses. The viewpoint can be accessed via a walking trail (closed during/after heavy snow) in about 15 to 20 minutes from the village center or by a shuttle bus, which stops in front of the tourist information office in the center of the village.

The bus to Shiroyama Viewpoint @ JPY200 per person per ride. We were so lucky that we managed to catch the last bus to come down from Shiroyama Viewpoint. Otherwise, we really needed to walk down which would be a very tiring one. Phew~ Luckily we managed to "save up" some energy. Hehe!

We woke up at 6am local time on the next day just for these beautiful views before the village gets crowded later in the morning. Good Morning, Shirakawa-go! They were really amazing views! The main reason to be in Japan this round was just for these beautiful views!

A cuppa of hot coffee on a cold and rainy morning at Shirakawa-go! Beautiful views outside the window from the cafe and to view it together with Hubby~ Indeed, a very memorable one ^^ I am seriously in love with this place!

Bye, Shirakawa-go ^^ You have made my Japan trip indeed a very meaningful one! Although I missed out the snowing part, I witnessed another beautiful side of it. We left the village slightly earlier from our scheduled time as nothing much to do there in the late morning besides strolling around for the beautiful landscapes. We had covered most it during our stay there...

Thanks, Hubby, for making it a dream comes true for me ❤❤!
