Hello Kitty Gourmet Café @ Sunway Pyramid ^^

Date: 28 September 2015

The first of its kind in Malaysia, today marks the Hello Kitty Gourmet Cafe its 3rd day opening! We reached here by 10am, but the Cafe did not open its doors yet to the patrons although operating hours start at 10am as indicated. It opened their doors to the public around 10.20am, I supposed. Luckily the queue was not long. I think we were the 5th families to get in! In front of me were all families with kids... I believed they were the same group with me, took leave due to closure of schools on today and decided to spend some quality family time with the kids!

Well, I am not a Hello Kitty fan... But on a gloomy Monday morning, with the closure of schools due to haze, I needed to cope with two Boys and wasted one day working leave, so I decided to find some happiness on this day ^^ So, we drove all the way to Sunway Pyramid, just to visit this Café!

But, never did I expect that the Boys enjoyed themselves more than the Mummy! And Kimi asked me before we left the Café, ‘Can we come again with Pa-pa next time?’

Perhaps we were early... After ordering our food, we were told by the waiter that the waiting time for the food to be served was around 30-40 minutes. However, we did not wait for this long. I think our food came after 20-25 minutes, right after I finished walking around to snap some photos in the Café. They have a very cosy environment but the air-con is a bit too cold for the Boys. If I am coming again on next time, I need to bring their cardigans along with me.

Overall, the food tastes averagely. Nothing too special, perhaps just for the Hello Kitty designs. Price is standard Café pricing, quite reasonable although portions seem to be a bit small. Kimi was asking me to order more food for him, as the pasta’s portion was not enough for him alone. Or is it Kimi a big eater at this age of 6? Hehe… Well, they do not have the 6% GST but comes with a 10% service charge.

We have a different dining experience this round at a Themed Cafe! A good one though, at least we did not encounter bad experience although they were some minor hiccups.

Macarons @ RM8.18 each ^^
Kaffir Lime vs Orange Marmalade Macarons!

Chicken and Wild Mushroom Pasta @ RM23.90 ^^

Cappuccino @ RM12.90 ^^
I was supposed to order my favourite Latte however the waiter told me that only Cappuccino had this Kitty decor so I changed my drink to this! Perhaps the drinks were prepared at the Ground Floor and I was seated at the First Floor, so when they served my Cappuccino, the Kitty’s design was a bit out of shape already. Hence, I was a bit disappointed with that. It did not come with a nice Kitty art as I was expecting it… Well, maybe next round should try their Latte then, at least I might have least expectations as it does not come with a Hello Kitty face!

Wonderland Waffles @ RM15.90 ^^

Cheesy Chicken Ham Sandwich @ RM15.00 ^^

Merdeka Weekend Getaway @ Amverton Cove Golf and Island Resort ^^

Our initial plan on a Stay-cation at KL was called off a week before the Merdeka long weekend due to the Rally which was taking place on 8.29 & 8.30 at KL City. We had decided not to drive in to KL on that weekend as we have two Boys with us. Instead, Hubby was kind enough to offer to me a few different choices, however, none of them seemed to be available due to the last minute arrangements! Well, disappointments after disappointments. And finally, he told me, why not we drive to Tanjung Sepat for a Seafood Dinner? Okay then…! A choice which I was not really interested in but better than coped at home and doing nothing… Hehe!

A sudden and unplanned Road Trip to Tanjung Sepat for some local Delicacies and Seafood led us to this short Resort stay. For the very first time, we packed our simple luggage in the car and stopped by four different Resorts to get ourselves a room nearby Sepang and Tanjung Sepat. But to our disappointments, none of the Resorts were available. All fully booked... It looked like we really need to drive back to KL and sleep in our own house after the Seafood Dinner!

After our delicious dinner at the Restaurant Asam Batu Laut, it was still early. We had decided to use another road to drive back KL to avoid traffic jam instead of the one which we used earlier from KL to Tanjung Sepat. It was another sceneries, another experience! On our way back, our Boys looked disappointed and restless because holidays ended without a Hotel stay. However, to our surprise, we saw a signboard along the roads at a small town written “Amverton Cove Golf and Island Resort”. We were curious at the same time thrilled. Finally, we had one last chance to try our luck again! We try searching for the place by using WAZE. It was around 20 minutes away from the location where we spotted the signboard. Hubby decided to drive there and gave it a try and of course, the Boys were thrilled!

We found this hidden gem nearby Sungai Langat (if not mistaken) and it was located in an isolated location. Hubby was satisfied with the Resort’s architecture so we had decided to walk in for the final try. Luckily they had one last room for us! Indeed very happy... It was almost 8pm by then! The Boys really jumped up with joy and I was truly amazed that for the very first time in my life... I DID this! We checked-in to a totally no idea where was the Resort at this late evening but indeed it was a GOOD and FUN stay for the Boys! A great Resort to stay in for a Family Holiday! The room is quite basic but the Resort has some Activities available for Kids and Families. Our Boys enjoyed the Swimming Pool Slides, Indoor Playground and the Kids ATV track a lot! More information of the activities can read HERE.

Thanks to Hubby for his undying effort to drive us around to look for a hotel to sleep over for the night on this Merdeka Weekend Getaway. It marked a different experience for our Family Road Trip ^^ We really enjoyed ourselves a lot and we had a good stay too!

The Photos of the Resort speak for itself~

A Day Out for Nico with Mummy

Date: 21.07.2015

Mummy had a date with Nico~ Yes, only the two of us, on this date, for this short day trip!

All along, as parents, we tend to give the best to our first kid. He/She has the first-hand clothes, first-hand shoes, first-hand in everything he/she uses. To the kid, everything is so neat and beautiful, everything seems to have Daddy and Mummy by his/her side to accompany him/her on every moves.

However, I might not be one of these parents as Kimi grew up at PIL’s house until he was 18 months. Some of his “First” I might have missed it. However, we give to him the best that we can afford. Clean clothes, nice shoes, better school, and the lists go on…. And this is the advantage of a First Child at home! To us, he/she is our everything! We provide to him what we feel are the best for him.

Then comes to Kid No.2! We gave birth to Nico... With two kids, expenses rise up, the time needs to spend with them double up, housework never-ending, etc… Daddy and Mummy work harder so that our living expenses are covered, so that, we can provide to both the kids, a better living environment. At times, no doubt, we neglected the No.2. Nico was sent back from PIL’s house to us when he was almost 3 years at a much later age than Kimi. So, we also missed out a few of his “First”. The time spent for him was lesser too. For this, I always feel the guilt. I wish I can give him more time, more love, more patience...!

On this day, Mummy had decided to do something different with Nico, which I did before with Kimi some years back ~A short day trip for Nico with Mummy~! As Nico’s speech is still slow, so some words or things he still cannot express himself yet. All I get from his answer on where to go was to SIT BUS! So Mummy fulfilled his request on this! And he was really very excited throughout his journey in the bus. Glad that he enjoyed it very much!

A great experience for Nico… Sweet Memories for the little Growing Up Boy! Mummy captured his different expressions during the Happy Outing with him~ Hope he has a GREAT DAY out. Do remember this always… Mummy LOVES You!
