Date: 9th October 2010
Today, we scheduled for Tsukiji Market, the place which I looked forward the most! But too bad, early in the morning, the weather was not on our side. It was raining and it rained the whole day. So discouraging ~ Not a good start for us but we still went on with our plans to visit the market.
We took the shuttle bus from our hotel to Daimon Station. From there, it only took us to travel 2 stations to reach Tsukijishijo Station. Once we reached the train station, we walked to the exit and turned right at the exit. After that, we continued to walk until we saw a petrol station, then we turned right after the petrol station. Just a few minutes walk, and we reached the market! Not very difficult actually. Once we reached, of course first thing to do is to find a place for breakfast.
But, to my super surprises, I did not expect the place to be really crowded due to the rain. However, I was totally wrong! It was so super crowded with people queuing up to wait for their turns for food. As for us, we have decided to go to the lesser crowd restaurant to eat so that we did not need to queue for long :)
Dang ~ Dang ~ Dang!! Our superbly delicious breakfast.... Even though this shop was not really needed to queue for long, but the food they served, was super good enough. I was wondering, those needed to queue for long, the food must be Fantastic! Haha :)
The most expensive breakfast which I ever had ~
After our very satisfying sushi, we walked around the wet market to have a look. We were a bit late, so some of the stalls already closed. However, I still managed to view some sea creatures which I never seen before in my life ~ Of course, not to forget to buy some scallops back for ourselves and mushrooms for both our mummies!
A great day I had at Tsukiji Market. If not because of the rain, I think I might stay longer to explore more. Really wish can come back here again next time, of course to be earlier, so that I am able to see more things ~
After Tsukiji Market, we went to the 'Pokemon World'. A lot of small kids with parents were there to grab some goodies. I supposed there were some sales and good bargains going around. We bought some things for Kimi also. Hehe... By the way, inside this Pokemon World, no photographs are allowed.
Our take-away lunch at McD and the machines on the road ~
After that, we went back to hotel, and started to pack our luggages. We need to change hotel on today, to the Ryokan style hotel. After all the packing, we walked out to the nearby Zojoji Temple to have a look. Despite the rain, we went to explore their 'Minato Citizens' Festival' which was held on 9th & 10th october 2010. We were considered very lucky to be able to be a part of it. Hehe :) A good experience we had!
We saw loads of Japanese games, local food and also experienced wearing on the Kimono ~ But, thanks to the rain, we did not need to queue long for this. We had the free photograph session with us wearing on the Kimono. This is part of the highlight for this Festival. We were indeed lucky to have such an experience! And to put yourself on a set of Kimono, is not an easy task. There were two persons helping me on that and another one was helping out Hubby :) And it was quite heavy to put it on ~
The whole team was praising Hubby and said that he looked very COOL with the set of Kimono on him. Haha, I think Hubby felt so happy after hearing that ~
Really need to thank the friendly team! They are indeed very professional ^_^
Finally need to bid farewell to the lovely hotel which we had stayed for the past 2 nights. Before we left, the staffs there noticed that we did not have an umbrella, so they gave us an umbrella as it was still raining. Very good service and nice hospitality! However, I accidentally left the umbrella at the train station on the last day in Tokyo ~ So, I did not manage to bring it back to Malaysia. Sob-sob...
Day 3 (Part 2) to be continued with Hotel Edoya and Akihabara in another blog post .... Need some time to sort out the balance of the photos ~
